You might be eligible for treatment via the Cholesterol CarePathway™ if:
You are between 40–75 years
Your LDL is between 130–189 mg/dL
Your ASCVD Score is >7.5%
You have no known history of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
As your safety is our top priority, eligibility for the Cholesterol CarePathway™ is at the discretion of our prescribing clinicians and will not be suitable for everyone. Some people with other conditions or risk factors may not be eligible to receive treatment through LetsGetChecked as in-person evaluation by a healthcare provider may be required. Our healthcare team will advise you of appropriate next steps to take if our CarePathway™ is not available to you.
Due to state regulations, we cannot provide medication in every State.

The ASCVD (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) risk score is a national guideline developed by the American College of Cardiology. It is a calculation of your 10-year risk of having a cardiovascular problem, such as a heart attack or stroke. Our prescribing clinicians will calculate your ASCVD for you if your health profile indicates you might be eligible for treatment through LetsGetChecked.
This depends on the type of medication that you are taking. It’s important to inform us of any medication that you are taking and to contact us if you start any new medication.
Always inform any and all providers of any medication that you are taking.
Yes, it is safe and effective to treat high cholesterol via telemedicine in the majority of cases and lowering LDL cholesterol can help to reduce your risk of having a stroke or heart attack. Diagnostic tests such as the LetsGetChecked Cholesterol and Diabetes & Heart tests can identify people who may benefit from lowering their LDL cholesterol using well-understood metrics. These tests also help us to ensure that the medication is working well for you. Treatment with a cholesterol-lowering medication called a statin is an evidence-based, globally accepted way of effectively reducing high LDL cholesterol. Online treatment through LetsGetChecked includes access to licensed clinicians and pharmacists who will remain engaged with you throughout your journey. To assess progress, additional tests will be shipped to your home.
Telemedicine will not be suitable for everybody. Some people with certain medical conditions or risk factors may not qualify to receive treatment through LetsGetChecked. This is because your safety is our priority and in-person evaluation by a health care provider may be required. Some people may prefer to attend a healthcare provider for a face-to-face consultation. In these cases, our medical team can advise you of your next steps.
We can provide cholesterol-lowering medication delivered directly to your door in most states but, due to state regulations, we cannot provide medication in every State.

The LetsGetChecked Cholesterol CarePathway™ was designed by board-certified physicians and consultant cardiologist in line with AHA and ACC recommendations. If you are eligible and opt-in to be treated with LetsGetChecked, our medical and pharmacy teams will be there to support you at every step.

Some people with a very high LDL cholesterol or those who have certain other conditions or risk factors may not qualify to receive treatment through LetsGetChecked. This is because your safety is our priority. In these cases, in-person evaluation by a provider may be required.

For your safety, it is not recommended to leave gaps in your treatment, therefore, CarePathways cannot be paused. The medication prescribed as part of the Cholesterol CarePathway™ should be taken daily unless otherwise instructed by a physician.
We don’t accept insurance at this time. We work to keep our tests as affordable as possible and our test costs are generally lower than the costs incurred from a trip to a healthcare provider.
We accept many Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. They can be used in the same way that a debit or credit card would be used at checkout.
1. Do I have to enroll in the Cholesterol CarePathway™ in order to take the Cholesterol test?
The Cholesterol test can be taken without having to enroll in the Cholesterol CarePathway™.
The Cholesterol CarePathway™ is an optional service we offer to eligible customers to combat high cholesterol levels from the comfort and convenience of home.
2. What is the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease?
Cardiovascular disease can lead to heart attacks and strokes and in many cases these are preventable. Primary prevention involves taking steps to prevent the onset of a disease. Primary prevention for cardiovascular disease includes making healthier lifestyle choices, especially when it comes to your diet, exercise, and quitting smoking. For some people who are at a higher risk for cardiovascular disease, a healthy lifestyle can be complemented by medication as part of their primary prevention.
3. Can I get my prescription sent to my local pharmacy?
LetsGetChecked directly ships your medication as part of the treatment plan. This is one of the most convenient factors of the program. No more standing in line. Our pharmacist will be in touch with you once your medication is prescribed and you can speak to them with any questions or concerns you might have about your medication. Please provide a full list of medications and supplements you take when you sign up to the Cholesterol CarePathway™ for our clinicians and pharmacists and keep us informed of any changes thereafter.
4. I’m already taking cholesterol-lowering medication as prescribed by my doctor, can I switch to get my prescription from LetsGetChecked?
At the moment, only patients who have not previously been prescribed statin medication for high cholesterol can be treated on the Cholesterol CarePathway™. We hope to expand our offering to patients already on cholesterol-lowering medication who wish to switch to LetsGetChecked in the near future.
5. What kind of support do you offer as part of the Cholesterol CarePathway™?
Our healthcare team are available to provide support at every step of your journey to improving your health.
