Trichomonas

Trichomonas is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacterium Trichomonas vaginalis, a pathogenic protozoan. The infection affects both women and men but symptoms are more common in women. The vagina is the most common site of infection in women, and the urethra is the most common site of infection in men.
