Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men worldwide. Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a protein produced by normal and cancerous prostate cells. This simple test will measure your PSA levels and helps to detect possible signs of prostate cancer.

PSA levels can be raised from other medical conditions such as an enlarged prostate called benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. If needed, we will refer you to your GP or a Urologist for further evaluation.

  • What does it test for?

    • Total prostate specific antigen (PSA)
    • Free prostate specific antigen (PSA)
    • Calculated prostate specific antigen ratio
  • Who should get tested?

If you're a man aged 45 or over, you should prioritise over the condition of your prostate. As well as this, it's important to note that if you have any urological symptoms or a first degree relative who has prostate cancer or urological symptoms, you should strongly consider taking this test.

Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men with 40,000 new cases each year.

  • One in eight men get it

1 in 8 men will develop prostate cancer and are unlikely to present symptoms until advanced stages when the prostate is large enough to affect the urethra.

  • Early detection is key
